New Zest Factory Outlet in Saltney Opened By Local Mayor

Zest, a leading supplier of award-winning timber garden products, opened a Factory Outlet at its warehouse on River Lane in Saltney on Saturday 3rd March, offering significant savings of up to 80% off RRP on Zest timber garden products.

The official opening ceremony was conducted by the Mayor of Saltney Town, Councillor Kim Shallcross, who was accompanied by, Saltney Town and County Councillors Jason Shallcross, and Richard Lloyd.

The P&A Group is a family business based in Mold and includes the award winning Woodworks Garden Centre and Café, P&A Pallets & Packaging, St Andrews Business Centre for leased and virtual offices and Zest garden products based in Saltney at Riverside Works.

Commenting on the opening, County Councillor Richard Lloyd said:

“Since Zest, part of the P&A Group, came to Saltney it has not only transformed the site that was almost derelict, but it has also gone on to build a renowned innovation centre, the ‘design.shed’, opened by The Rt Hon. Lord Barry Jones, in March 2022, to further develop its Zest timber garden range. Now, two years later it has opened a new Factory Outlet.

This type of business development is good for Saltney, good for local employment and the new retail space for garden products will bring more customers into the local area which should have a knock-on effect for other local businesses.

Congratulations to the P&A Group on the opening of the new Zest Factory Outlet and we wish the company every success in this initiative and for future developments here in Saltney."

Thank you for making a donation from the opening day to Mind North East Wales, P&A Groups chosen charity for the year. We know how committed the company is to supporting the local community”

The new outlet will be open every Friday from 9am to 4pm, subject to stock availability. The Zest products on offer will include ex-display and seconds, with fully assembled and flat-pack options available.

Parking is available and goods will be on offer on a card payment and collection basis only.

Rhys Hughes P&A Group Director - Strategic Development & Supply Chain said of the opening:

“I’d like to say a big thank you to the Mayor of Saltney, Councillor Kim Shallcross, for officially opening our Factory Outlet for Zest garden products. Also, thank you to County Councillors Richard Lloyd and Jason Shallcross for attending.

“Zest is a leading garden industry brand supplying timber garden products to garden centres nationwide as well as to online retailers for home delivery.
