Zest MD, Steve Morgan taking part in Doddie Aid 2023 in aid of Motor Neurone Disease Research

Steve Morgan, Managing Director of Zest, a leading supplier of garden furniture, grow your own and decorative garden structures, is taking part in Doddie Aid 2023, which started on 1st January and runs for six weeks. The aim is to raise money for the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation to fund vital research into Motor Neurone Disease (MND). He is joined by Robert Boyns, Managing Director of Boyns Information Systems in the virtual mass participation event.

Founded by former Scotland captain and British and Irish Lion, Rob Wainwright, in the last two years the event has seen over 30,000 participants cover four million miles and raise over £2 million to help find a cure for MND.

Both Steve and Rob are recruiting others to join them and be part of “Team Wales” for the challenge. Leading the team is Welsh rugby legend Scott Quinnell, with other famous faces including Shane Williams, Jamie Baulch, Gabby Logan, Tom Shanklin and Rupert Moon.

“This will be the second year that Rob and I are raising funds for the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation. Last February, we completed the Doddie Cup 500, cycling from Murrayfield in Edinburgh to The Principality Stadium in Cardiff, arriving in time for Wales vs Scotland match. The whole team, of which Rob and I were part, raised over £28,500 so our expectations for raising money during this event are considerably higher.”

“We hope many more people will be encouraged to join Team Wales to help raise much needed funds for the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation. It is a phenomenal charity which has already raised millions for research into MND. It’s vital that a cure is found and Rob and I are looking forward to doing our bit to help raise awareness as well as the all-important funds.”
